Ethos & Values

"All pupils achieve the highest standard of educational outcomes regardless of circumstance or background"

Head Teacher's Message

Welcome to Jervoise School. The Trust’s vision is that all pupils achieve the highest standard of educational outcomes regardless of circumstance or background.

Curriculum Highlights

Content is well sequenced with progression from EYFS through KS1 and KS2 and prepares pupils for the next stage. A coherent and consistent rationale underpins the whole curriculum across all schools in the Trust. A consistent assessment framework for each subject is used to evaluate impact and inform provision. Cross-curricular opportunities and interleaving/cross-contextualisation are used to embed learning. The curriculum is language-rich and develops vocabulary and communication skills. Pedagogical approaches include secure knowledge of how children learn, instructional processes, and effective assessment.

Wraparound Care

After-School Care: Yes

Admissions Criteria

Admission criteria are aligned with Birmingham Local Authority admissions. Priority is given to: (1) children who are looked after or previously looked after; (2) children with a sibling at the school at the time of application; (3) children with the shortest distance from home to the school, measured as straight‑line distance from home to the school. The Trust states it has established admission criteria and that Birmingham City Council procedures apply for admissions and appeals.
