Whittle Academy embeds and promotes British Values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
Whittle Academy is a vibrant, happy school with a family feel. The aim is to inspire a love of learning in a safe, nurturing environment, develop resilience and independence, and prepare children to be well-rounded adults. The curriculum is engaging and locally focused, and Ofsted praised it in February 2024.
Wraparound offers morning and after-school care. Morning session: 7:30 to 8:40am at £4 per child. Afternoon session: 3:15 to 5:30pm at £3.50 per hour. Breakfast before school includes toast, cereals and a drink; after school includes a snack and a drink. Booking is required due to hygiene regulations. Enhanced Resource Provision (ERP) is an initiative commissioned by Coventry City Council for September 2023. Ten children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) have a place in ERP, with support from the Complex Communications Team and a Speech Therapist. The ERP is led by a lead teacher (Mrs Edwards) and four Teaching Assistants. ERP pupils remain part of the Whittle school community.
