Curriculum Highlights

We operate a 2 yearly cycle of coverage for years R - 6 (Cycle B for 2024/25). Three classes: Delapre (Reception–Year 2), Stanwick (Year 3–4), Brixworth (Year 5–6). Phonics: Little Wandle phonics scheme; reading books aligned to the scheme. Maths: White Rose Hub maths scheme; CPA (concrete, pictorial, abstract) approach; daily dashboard; Times Tables Rock Stars and NumBots for practise. Reading and spellings resources linked to the Phonics and reading schemes; long-term curriculum maps and knowledge organisers per year group. PSHE: JIGSAW PSHE and RSHE schemes of work. Greek/Ancient Civilisations focus in Brixworth; Anglo-Saxons and Vikings focus in Stanwick. Long Term Curriculum Maps and Knowledge Organisers available for home support.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions are managed by Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET). There are Admissions Policy documents for 2025-2026 and 2026-2027. Reception admissions occur in September after a child’s fourth birthday; applications are made through the local authority (West Northamptonshire Council). In-year applications are managed by the Trust; waiting lists operate by term; appeals can be made via The Diocese of Peterborough ([email protected]).
