"True education enables us to love life and opens us to the fullness of life."
We have a very strong link exists between the School and the Parish of Our Lady and All Saints Church in Stourbridge with our Parish Priest, Father Philip.
As Principal, I am delighted to welcome you to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Stourbridge. We are a happy, caring and successful school with a strong Catholic ethos, where Christ is at the centre of education and we aim to demonstrate care, compassion, justice and integrity.
ELSA provides emotional support to pupils. Referrals are usually made by the class teacher, senior leaders or SENDCo and typically target a 6–8 week period. Each session lasts approximately 30–40 minutes, once a week, and may be delivered 1‑to‑1 or in groups; the aim is to remove barriers to learning and help pupils manage emotions, not to “fix” problems, by providing a reflective space.
Admissions are managed through Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council. As a Catholic School, families may need to complete a Supplementary Information Form in addition to the standard application. The Local Governing Body adheres strictly to our published admission criteria. In oversubscribed years, oversubscription criteria apply, waiting lists can be used, and applicants are informed in writing (aim to be within 10–15 school days). Appeals can be made to an independent appeal panel.
