Head Teacher's Message

The Grange School is on a journey of rapid school improvement, emphasising a small, inclusive community where every student is known and valued. It is part of the Twynham Learning Trust, combining the warmth of a small school with the opportunities of a larger organisation.

Curriculum Highlights

Core subjects at GCSE: English and English Literature; Maths; Science. Students then choose GCSE or Vocational subjects; core PE and PHSE continue. 3-year Key Stage 3 model; emphasis on reading, writing, numeracy, oracy and cultural capital. Large majority study a Modern Foreign Language across five years. Arts are valued; curriculum aims to be broad and balanced.

SEND Provision

Inclusive SEND provision with whole-school wellbeing approaches and bespoke support from a trained student services team.

Admissions Criteria

In-Year admissions are processed by The Grange School. Year 7 admissions for 2026 are handled by the Local Education Authority (BCP Council). The closing date for Year 7 applications for 2026 is 31 October 2025. Offers are issued on 2 March 2026. Appeals are managed by The Coastal Association of School Appeals (CAS). A Year 6 transitions portal and an online admissions enquiry form are available.
