SEND Provision

The Learning Support Department supports students with SEND and works closely with the Pastoral team, Parents and other professionals to support each individual academically, socially and emotionally. Staff in learning support are described as “all teachers of SEND,” providing Quality First Teaching and learning support assistants as needed. The provision is tailored through provision mapping and involves regular meetings with parents, student voice via the student council and pastoral teams. The local authority’s local offer supports clubs and interventions that work with children and their families, and the school aims for collaboration between student, parent, local authority and staff to enable SEND students to access the curriculum and thrive.
