Paxton Academy actively promotes diversity through celebrations of different faiths and cultures.
Headteacher Theresa Moses welcomes families and describes Paxton's commitment to high aspirations, inspiring pupils and achieving academic excellence. The message highlights an inclusive, creative curriculum, a Love for Learning, and the school’s seven Core Values, within the supportive Paxton/Wandle Learning Trust environment and Open Day opportunities.
Paxton offers both full-time and part-time nursery places. Part-time sessions are 8:45am–11:45am (morning) and 12:15pm–3:15pm (afternoon) for 15 hours per week; full-time places are available to eligible working parents, with a top-up fee for non-eligible parents to switch from part-time to full-time.
Nursery admissions criteria: Applications for the beginning of each academic year are considered for children who have turned 3 before 1 September. Priority order: Looked after children; children with a brother or sister currently attending Paxton; other children by straight line distance from home. For children who turn three during an academic year, a part-time place may be offered in the term after their third birthday, with an additional January intake if space is available. If there are more applications than places, pupils are admitted in priority order (1 to 3).
