Curriculum Highlights

In Year 12, students study four subjects: three A-Levels plus Core Maths; the Extended Project or Further Maths A-Level. Each A-Level has 7 x 40-minute lessons per week across both years, plus a 30-minute Societies lesson. In Year 12, students also have 2 x 40-minute Cultural Perspectives lessons. 16-19 Study Programme hours: Year 12 A-levels 176 hours per year; Year 13 A-levels 164 hours per year; Core Maths ~176 hours. Total planned qualification hours between 528 and 704 per year; planned non-qualification hours: 196 (Year 12) and 120 (Year 13). Students attend weekly Lab lectures delivered by guest speakers from a range of fields (academia, law, politics, science, arts, journalism). Learning is complemented by opportunities to engage with cultural perspectives, societies, clubs, and leadership opportunities.
