Curriculum Highlights

Read Write Inc Phonics is used in school from Reception. Ready Steady Comprehension program for Years 2–6. Linked English uses the 6Rs: Relate, Read, Rip, Rehearse, Write and Review. Kinetic Letters handwriting program. National Curriculum core subjects English, Mathematics, Science; foundation subjects History, Geography, Music, Art, Physical Education; Modern Foreign Languages (MFL – Spanish). Reading for Pleasure initiatives include weekly visits to the School Library, Reading Van, Home Readers and MyOn access. Talk for Writing is used in EYFS and KS1. Publishing and presenting writing opportunities and linking writing across the curriculum.

Berrybrook is committed to offering an inclusive curriculum.
