Integrated Resource for pupils with communication and interaction needs; The Den (KS1, eight places) on the Newman Road site and The Loft (KS2, sixteen places) on the Fife Street site; low arousal environments with dedicated zones (Learning Zone, Regulation Zone, Social Zone with food, Sensory Zone) and secure outdoor space; accessed via a collaborative process and admissions through the Local Authority SENDSARS; primary need must be Communication and Interaction (including Autism) stated in the EHCP; pupils can access mainstream lessons with support; annual reviews and transitions planned.

Admissions Criteria

To access the Integrated Resource, the primary need must be Communication and Interaction (including Autism) stated within the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Pupils may have secondary needs; all children accessing the Resource must have the underlying cognitive ability to access a mainstream curriculum once barriers to learning are addressed; access through the Local Authority SENDSARS process with tailored transition plans.
