Ethos & Values

"Together, One Family, One Community in Christ"

Democracy The Rule of Law Individual Liberty Mutual Respect Tolerance of those of Different Faiths and Beliefs

St Peter’s is a Catholic Academy. We are proud of our religion and its teachings. All our Religious Education lessons and PSHE lessons reinforce messages of respect for others. Members of different faiths and religions are encouraged to share their knowledge to enhance learning within classes and the school.

Head Teacher's Message

A welcoming message from Mr A Hodgson describing St Peter’s as a school where children are cherished, encouraged to strive for excellence, with Jesus Christ at the heart. The message invites visitors to see the school for themselves and highlights partnership between home, school and parish.

SEND Provision

The SEND Local Offer information is provided; The Local Offer explains services available from birth to 25 across education, health and social care. It includes information on how school and agencies will support children with Special Educational Needs, an 18-question framework to address parents’ concerns, a glossary of common SEN terms, and useful links to external organisations (EHCP processes, CAMHS, etc.). The school SENCo is identified as Mrs Parton, and there are links to relevant external resources and referral forms.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions information covers in-year admissions, oversubscription criteria, and the waiting list process. Applications are processed in line with the published admissions arrangements, and applicants will be notified of outcomes in writing. There is a right to appeal to an independent appeal panel if the application is unsuccessful. The school is part of Stoke-on-Trent local authority admissions arrangements; more details are available via the school office and the admissions policy documents.

Financial Information

The Government offers 15-hour funded Nursery places; some parents may be eligible for 30-hour funded places. If not eligible for 30-hour funded places in our Nursery there is a minimum charge of ÂŁ15 per week. See the Charging and Remissions policy for more information.
