Curriculum Highlights

The curriculum meets the National Curriculum requirements. In KS1 and KS2, subjects are taught discretely, with cross-curricular links to apply knowledge and skills. The school emphasizes reading and writing to develop fluent communicators and action researchers across subjects. It supports mathematical and scientific skills, and aims to develop pupils’ intellectual, moral and spiritual growth to become responsible global citizens. Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

IQRA Academy runs a Breakfast Club during term time from 7.45am to 8.45am in the dining hall. There is a minimal cost of attending the club of £1.00 per day per child. External gates open at 7.45am. The Entrance for drop-off is on Century Place, off Carlisle Road. If you arrive after 7.45am, ring the bell at the green gate and a staff member will assist. For queries, contact the School Office.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions follow the published policy. Priority for admissions is given to looked-after children, then siblings, then other children. If demand exceeds places, distance from home to the school is used to determine allocation; a class is full at 30 pupils. Year 1–6 admissions are managed by the Local Education Authority (LEA). The PAN for Reception admissions for 2025-26 was 90.

Financial Information

School meal cost: £1.95 per day. Breakfast Club cost: £1.00 per day. Current school menus are available (Lunch Menu Weeks 1-3 and IQRA Menu Weeks 2025-26). IQRA is nut-free. Free School Meals eligibility can be checked on Bradford Council’s website.
