For children with special needs, one of our first steps is to work with their parents and other specialists to create a plan for supporting them. Our approach as a whole is reviewed with children’s classroom teachers, relevant specialists and parents every half term.
Nursery admissions criteria include: children looked after, or who have an allocated social worker who has provided written support of the application; children who are recommended for a place at the school by the Disability or Locality TAC; children with professionally supported educational, medical or social needs; children with a brother or sister currently attending our school and who will still be at school; children who live nearest to the school. There is 15 hours of government funding for all eligible 3- and 4-year-olds, and an extended 30 hours for eligible families. Applications and details are available through the academy and Bromley housing/education portals.
