Curriculum Highlights

Our Curriculum is designed to provide a broad and balanced education that meets the needs of all children. Curriculum drivers are Creativity, Communication and Inquiry. The curriculum is planned over a two-year cycle (CURRICULUM OVERVIEW - Cycle A 2024/25). Reading is taught through a combination of one-to-one reading, independent reading and whole class comprehension lessons, following the Read Write Inc. phonics program from Reception. Interventions include Fast Track Tutoring, HFL Reading Fluency Project, Fresh Start Programme, Dyslexia-friendly texts, and Reading Rescue. Promoting Reading: Storytime Club, Blue Peter Book Club, World Book Day activities, author visits, and a dyslexia-friendly reading environment.
