The Olive School, Hackney is a Muslim faith primary school; aims to provide an inspirational, life-enhancing education where every child is nurtured, inspired, challenged and supported to succeed, developing the skills and attitudes to become responsible, respectful and tolerant citizens.

Curriculum Highlights

Reading is fundamental to all learning and is supported by the Star Readers initiative. Phonics taught using Ruth Miskin’s Read Write Inc. Knowledge-rich, progression-focused curriculum with discrete subjects and literacy underpinning learning. Leadership development is central to the curriculum with STAR values at the heart of provision. Early Years follows seven areas of learning and development with Prime and Specific areas (e.g., Personal and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development; Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, Expressive Arts and Design). Enrichment offering centers on the five leadership foundations of sport, creativity, performing arts, enterprise and social action.
