Putnoe Primary School promotes the British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths.
Headteacher expresses that it is a privilege to lead Putnoe, emphasises a value system, inclusive community and high expectations, and highlights a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum with a commitment to safety and welcoming visits from prospective families.
Putnoe Primary School can admit up to 90 pupils from Reception to Year 6. Admissions are governed by an order of priority: looked after children accommodated in the catchment area; pupils living in the catchment area; other looked after children; very exceptional medical grounds; brothers or sisters of pupils currently attending the school; children of staff at the school; children in long-term (12 months or more) registered child-minding situations in the catchment area; those living the shortest distance from the school. If a tie occurs where there are more applicants with equal right to admission than places available, distance from the Headteacher’s office to the pupil’s home will be used as a tie-breaker. If a school place is declined, parents may appeal to an independent Appeals Panel. The Pupil Registration Form, Starting School 2025 Booklet and Admission Policies for 2025-26 and 2026-27 can be downloaded from the site.
