Taverham High School follows the Norfolk County Council Admissions Policy. When applications exceed places, priority is given in this order: (1) children with an Education Health Care Plan naming the school; (2) children in public care or adopted; (3) children transferring who live in the catchment area; (4) children transferring who have a place at a Specialist Resource Base attached to the school; (5) children transferring outside the catchment area who have an older brother or sister attending the school at the time of admission (but not in sixth form); (6) children transferring outside the area who attend a feeder school; (7) children of staff at the school (where applicable); (8) children transferring outside the catchment area. If all cannot be offered a place after applying these rules, Random Allocation may be used. The school states it follows Norfolk County Council's Admissions Policy.
