Learning for Life (SEND) is delivered through three pathways: Discovery, Aspire and Transition. Aspire and Transition support learners to achieve functional skills qualifications from Entry Level 1 to Entry Level 3, covering areas such as Social skills, pre-employment skills, Personal Skills, Literacy and Numeracy, Arts and Crafts, ICT, Environment and Community, Performing Arts and more. Discovery provides a bespoke programme focusing on communication, independence and preparation for adulthood, with strong emphasis on EHCP targets and transition to Aspire when ready. Across all pathways, learners are supported by our Careers team, with a modular curriculum embedding English, Maths, IT, PSHE, sport, outdoor learning, community access and creative activities, and Total Communication approaches advised by Speech and Language Therapists. Annual reviews and transition planning are part of the process, and learners can progress to Level 1 courses alongside mainstream peers when ready.
