The Catholic High School Chester is a Catholic Voluntary Academy, an 11 to 18 Roman Catholic mixed comprehensive school with over 900 students including a thriving Sixth Form. It provides opportunity, hope and a bright future for everyone, by offering world-class education, grounded in the community, and built on the foundation of our faith. Our school aims to be a loving Christian community guided by the Holy Spirit, inclusive of all, persevering through difficult times, challenging injustice, and faithful to Christ.

The Trinity SEND Department supports students who experience barriers to learning and work closely with pastoral staff, teachers and parents to ensure individual needs are met. The department provides high quality inclusive teaching, with bespoke support when required, and uses an ‘Assess, Plan, Do, Review’ process. It is staffed by experienced teachers, Higher Level Teaching Assistants and Teaching Assistants. An Autism Resource Centre (The ARC) with 15 places operates under Education Authority allocation. Visiting experts such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists, and autism professionals support the department.
