"A BRIGHTER FUTURE"
We follow the Birmingham SACRE scheme; it is our role, through the RE curriculum, to enrich pupils’ own spirituality and to develop the skills and knowledge that will enable pupils to flourish in the world at large with all people and communities. We reinforce the British Values of Democracy, The Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Mutual Respect and Tolerance of Those of Different Faiths and Beliefs. Parents have the right to withdraw their children from religious education and/or collective worship.
Welcome to Tame Valley Academy. A thriving one-form entry primary school in the Bromford area; the diversity of the local community is embraced and supported. The school prides itself on high expectations and core values of Respect, Perseverance, Resilience, Co-operation and Responsibility. The Headteacher, Mr Andrew Byrne, invites visitors to see our happy, confident children and thriving school community.
Tame Valley Academy has a SENDCO (Miss L Ellis) and a Governor with lead responsibility for SEND. The school identifies, assesses and supports pupils with SEND, tailoring support to each child’s needs. Most support is provided in class, with some pupils benefitting from small group work or, in some cases, input from external specialists as part of an Education, Health and Care Plan. The academy provides SEND information (SEND Information Report 2026) and additional plans and resources, including EAL support and the Quicker to Achieve framework.
Admissions are administered by Birmingham City Council. Criteria include: children looked after by the Local Authority; children with siblings at the academy; and those living nearest to the academy by straight-line distance. Nursery admissions have non-statutory criteria and eligibility can include up to 30 hours of free childcare for eligible three- and four-year-olds. In-year admissions are available; places are allocated with class sizes up to 30.
