SEND Provision

The Nest is an SEN provision for SEMH with 24 pupils in three classes (Robins Y1-2, Owls Y3-4, Eagles Y5-6); staff include SEMH specialist support assistants and a Learning Mentor; the curriculum is largely aligned to the National Curriculum for Key Stage 2 and is differentiated; pupils have access to specialist support (Blackpool Inclusion Team, Educational Psychology, Primary Mental Health, Speech and Language therapy) and a range of interventions (Zones of Regulation, Boxall Profile, Lego Therapy, Art therapy, Resilience Building and Mindfulness); transition and integration with mainstream provision is emphasized.
