"Be kind, work hard"
Welcome to Reepham High School and College. The Head of School emphasises an inclusive, warm community with strong relationships, partnership with parents and carers, high aspirations for students, and a broad, balanced curriculum complemented by many clubs and activities beyond the classroom. The aim is to help students flourish, be kind and make positive contributions to society, supported by a strong pastoral system and high expectations around attendance, punctuality, work, behaviour and uniform.
RHSC's SEND information describes a mainstream support model with bespoke learning plans written by the SENDCo and Deputy SENDCo. These learning plans are accessed by teachers via Provision Map software to guide teaching strategies. Learning support targets groups of learners within English and Maths lessons rather than providing frequent one-to-one interventions. A social learning space is open before school, at break and lunchtime. Pupils can use technology such as laptops and digital reader pens to support independent learning and ensure appropriate exam access arrangements are in place in advance of GCSEs and A levels. In Key Stage 5, learners are supported through quality first teaching and individualised exams access arrangements, with additional post-16 funding applied for on a case-by-case basis if required.
