Principal Tom Preston welcomes visitors to Waseley Hills High School, emphasising an inclusive ethos, the support and resources of the Central Region Schools Trust, high expectations, mutual respect, character development and partnership with parents and carers to help students achieve excellence.

Curriculum Highlights

Three-year Key Stage 3 building on Key Stage 2 and leading into KS4 and 5 Curriculum design under the Knowledge, Skills, Attributes and Experiences (KASE) framework Oracy and reading are integral to literacy development Extensive subject justification and progression planning to support knowledge acquisition Exposure to a wide range of cultural opportunities and authentic texts within and across subjects

SEND Provision

The SEND team leads provision for pupils on the SEND list. The SENDCo leads a supportive department with a team-around-the-child approach, focusing on transition from feeder schools, and interventions such as literacy and numeracy programmes, social and emotional programmes, homework clubs, social time support and autism support.
