Harris Primary Academy Philip Lane opened in 2012 as part of the Harris Federation and is described as an Outstanding primary academy with high expectations, a unique creative curriculum, strong moral values and a love of learning; the school emphasises that all children are special and that staff “dig for gold” in every child.

National Curriculum-based curriculum designed to exceed expectations Reading is central to the curriculum, with Read Write Inc phonics and daily reading Specialist teaching for Art & Design, Design Technology, Music, PE, Spanish and Steel Pans Phonics and mathematics taught with external experts; other subjects taught with in-house progression Mastery mindset with emphasis on deep understanding and connections across subjects

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Breakfast Club is open Monday to Friday from 7.30am. Children must arrive by 8.00am at the latest. The cost per child is £2 per day. Please email [email protected] for any further information or to book a place for your child (ren). We allocate on a first come, first served basis and do have a waiting list. Payment for all clubs will be in advance for the half term and payable on Parent Pay. After School Care is available from 3:30pm - 6:00pm. The cost per child is £11 per day or £50 per week. The club has a range of activities including Arts and Crafts, Baking and Outdoor fun and includes a healthy snack such as Yoghurt, Fruit and Popcorn.
