I am delighted to welcome you to Hilbre High School. Our mission is to ‘unlock academic potential and develop character in every child’. We strive for high expectations, mutual respect, and opportunities in and outside the classroom to help pupils become well-rounded citizens.

Curriculum Highlights

Our academic curriculum occupies 25 hours of the school week. Three-year common curriculum for all students: English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Religious Education, French or Spanish, Design and Technology, Information Technology, Art, Dance, Drama, Physical Education, Music and Personal and Social Education/Citizenship. Year 8 offers the opportunity to study a second foreign language. In Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11), students aim for GCSE Examinations or other GCSE-equivalent qualifications such as BTECs, and select 4 option subjects. Sixth Form provision includes AS and A2 Levels, BTEC and GCSE courses.
