SEND Provision

Tree Tops is a Special Resource Provision for Deaf and Hearing-Impaired pupils. It uses a Total Communication approach (signed British Sign Language and Sign Supported English, oral, auditory, written and visual aids) to provide pupil-centred language-rich learning, with a team including Teachers of the Deaf, a Speech and Language Therapist, a Technical Instructor, a deaf role model and Specialist Teaching Assistants. Access to assisted listening devices is provided and the provision works closely with multi-agency services to support pupils from Nursery to Year 6 within mainstream school life.
