Headteacher Ben Rackley welcomes visitors and emphasises Wreake Valley’s potential and future, the school’s values and ethos, and the importance of opportunities, with a call for partnership with families and staff to support students in achieving their best.

Curriculum Highlights

Key Stage 3 curriculum described as broad, ambitious and challenging with a learning journey and descriptors (Novice, Capable, Expert) and Attitude to Learning descriptors. Progression from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 is planned with subject-led curriculum design and progression through a learning journey. Key Stage 4 offerings include English, Maths, Science (Core/ triple), Personal Development and Citizenship, and options across multiple GCSEs/BTECs; continued emphasis on Attitude to Learning. SEND Provision

The Inclusion Team (SENDCo and a team of qualified teaching assistants) works across all year groups and curriculum to meet a wide range of needs. The team aims to nurture confidence and resilience in students and promote engagement in the curriculum, using interventions tailored to individual needs and in line with the SEND Policy.
