Wraparound care for children aged 2-11.
Biggleswade Academy provides SEND provision through a formal SEND policy, SEND Information Report, and SEND Local Offer linkage. It supports early identification of needs, uses a Graduated Approach, employs a SENDCo, and involves parents and external agencies as appropriate. The Academy also accommodates an ASD ARP and collaborates with outside agencies (e.g., CAMHS, Educational Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists, Visual/Hearing Impaired Teams) to support pupils with SEND.
Biggleswade Academy has two entry points with admissions criteria for each: Biggleswade Academy Preschool and The Lawns Nursery (Age 2+), and Reception (Year of fifth birthday). In-year admissions are welcomed, however, a place cannot be guaranteed to a pupil who moves within the school's catchment area outside of the normal admissions round. For September entry, applications should be submitted via Central Bedfordshire Council by 15 January; there is no automatic transfer from Preschool or The Lawns Nursery to Reception. Tours are encouraged; Saplings (2-year-olds) and Nursery (3-4-year-olds) admissions for The Lawns Nursery have their own process.
