Ethos & Values

"Together, achieving our best"

respect wisdom aspiration community

Head Teacher's Message

Barnhill Community High School is a high-performing, oversubscribed secondary school and sixth form in Hillingdon. Its ethos is based on respect, wisdom, aspiration and community. Students are challenged and supported by expert and committed teachers, with strong relationships between staff, students and families, and a seven-year journey of education.

SEND Provision

Barnhill maintains a SEND Register and record of individual needs and strategies for additional support. The designated SENCo liaises with the curriculum and pastoral staff to monitor pupil progress and plan further intervention where progress is lower than expected. The school leads SEND through quality first teaching and offers an alternative curriculum to access a wide range of learning opportunities. The SEND department is described as forward-facing and central to the school, providing suitable adjustments to support students with additional needs, with transitions and collaboration with Primary settings and families. Helpful links include SEND Code of Practice, SEND Local Offer, and a SEND Information Report (Sept 2025).
