The academy states its mission as Changing Lives Through Belief and Collaboration by Being Kind and the Best Learners, emphasising grounding students academically and experientially to thrive, and a collaborative approach through tutor groups and teaching methods.

Curriculum Highlights

KS3 is a three-year curriculum (Years 7-9) with a core English, Mathematics and Science, plus History, Geography and a Modern Foreign Language (French or Spanish), Ethics, Philosophy and Citizenship (EPC), Computing and Core PE. KS4 (Year 10–11) offers EBacc and non-EBacc pathways with options including GCSEs, BTEC and Cambridge Nationals; emphasis on choosing a course mix to suit abilities and interests. Year 9 opti ons include discussion of triple science and subject choices; the Year 10 curriculum includes EBacc and Open Basket options with 25 teaching hours per week. The Diamonds literacy and numeracy support programs include Accelerated Reading, Reading Recovery, Reciprocal Reading, vocabulary building and cursive handwriting, with Sparx and xtramath.org used for numeracy support. The curriculum intent focuses on building knowledge and skills over time, developing literacy and numeracy across subjects, digital literacy, health and well-being, cultural capital, and ensuring progression for all learners, including those facing disadvantage.
