Curriculum Highlights

Literacy and numeracy will be the backbone of our pupils’ success in learning. Learning will be focused on individual pupils’ needs and abilities and assessed using assessment for learning to inform teaching. Tailored support for learners with SEN, Gifted and Talented, and minority ethnic groups. Partnership with parents and community, with activities outside hours to extend learning. Admissions Criteria

30 reception places; if applications exceed 30, places allocated by priority: Looked After or previously looked after; children who appear to have been in state care outside England and adopted; pupils with a brother or sister currently attending the school or its associated junior school (excluding final year); other children; distance-based (nearest home to school gate) using straight-line measurement. In-year admissions follow the same criteria and are coordinated with Calderdale Local Authority.
