Curriculum Highlights

Ambitious, powerful knowledge is effectively sequenced. Reading is prioritised as the foundation to unlock the curriculum. Curriculum maps ensure progression and are accessible to all, including those with SEND. Curriculum supports the five values: scholarship, curiosity, tenacity, respect and responsibility. KS3 core curriculum is mapped for progression across subjects with evidence-informed teaching and learning strategies. KS4 offers a traditional core with EBacc emphasis, a range of GCSEs and vocational subjects, plus non-examined core subjects (Personal Development, Core PE, Core RE). KS5 provides A Levels and Level 3 qualifications, typically with ten lessons per subject per fortnight, plus EPQ and extensive extracurricular opportunities.

SEND Provision

St Ivo uses the Pupil Premium to raise attainment and enhance personal development; the approach is aligned with EEF guidance on tackling disadvantage in the classroom through quality teaching, targeted interventions and wider pupil support; contact Dave Varey (Assistant Principal) for discussions about Pupil Premium.
