Welcome to Stratford Girls' Grammar School — a place where bright, ambitious girls succeed. SGGS is described as the top girls' state school in Warwickshire, aiming to be among the country’s best state schools, with a strong emphasis on 21st century teaching and broad extracurricular opportunities. The school is positioned as not a fee-paying state school and as custodians of Shottery Manor, with a focus on aspirational outcomes for students.

Admissions Criteria

Entry to Year 7 is via the 11+ Entrance Test and the school's oversubscription criteria; 120 places are available for Year 7. Admissions are coordinated by Warwickshire Admissions on behalf of the school. For 2026 entry, registration for the 11+ test opens 7 May 2025 and closes 30 June 2025; tests are scheduled through Warwickshire Admissions with details provided by them. The first round of offers is on 2 March 2026. For further information on the 11+ process and appeals, see Warwickshire Admissions and the SGGS Admissions Policy (2025 and 2026). The school also offers 11+ test support via Atom Learning for pupil premium students. The 11+ test covers English, Verbal Reasoning, Mathematics and Non-Verbal Reasoning and lasts about three hours in a single session.
