We are proud of our diverse and inclusive community. We believe that in promoting the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and celebration of those with different faiths and beliefs our children will take their place as successful citizens.
The children at Rookery are at the heart of this community. At Rookery we value our learning community where everyone is empowered to grow and develop in order to be the best that they can be.
Rookery has an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) Resource Base with 17 places. The Resource base is supported by a head of base who is one of two teachers, a HLTA – family support worker, learning mentor and 3 teaching assistants; we also have a part time speech and language therapist. Teaching and activities in the RB are designed to support reintegration into mainstream; children attending the resource base have access to a range of extra-curricular activities including horse riding, forest schools and music lessons.
