Admissions Criteria

King Alfred's Academy uses the Oxfordshire Local Authority Admissions Policy. It has an agreed catchment area and a published admission number of 290 from 2025/26. Students from the catchment area are admitted at age 11 without reference to ability or aptitude. In-year admissions are handled via Oxfordshire County Council (OCC). Parents can contact the school for visits via the enquiries form. The Cambrian Learning Trust follows the OCC admissions and appeals processes. The catchment area includes named primary schools listed in the admissions information section. An appeal process via an Independent Panel is available through OCC.
