SEND Provision

Queen Elizabeth’s Girls’ School provides inclusive, mainstream education and aims to include all students with Special Educational Needs and Disability. The Inclusion Team, led by SENCO Ceri Matty, uses the local borough offer and SEN Code of Practice to identify needs, maintains a SEND register where provision beyond ordinarily available support is required, and conducts annual reviews for students with Statements or Education, Health and Care Plans. Progress is monitored through baseline data, ongoing assessments and regular reviews; there are transition arrangements between phases, and students may receive in-class support from Learning Support Assistants, targeted interventions (group or 1:1), and examination access arrangements. Staff CPD covers SEND, and external support may involve CAMHS, Tavistock and Local Authority advisory teams. Information about services is also available via the London Borough of Barnet Schools Offer and the school’s Inclusion Policy. For further information contact Mrs Ceri Matty (SENCO) at [email protected].
