Admissions Criteria

The Governing Body is the Admissions Authority for the school and the school adheres to Somerset Schools Admissions protocol. For Year 7, applications should be directed to the Somerset School Admissions Team. The closing date for Year 7 intake applications is 31 October. The School Admissions Team processes applications and passes a list to the Governing Body. If oversubscribed, the over-subscription criteria in the admissions policy will be used. Appeals are handled by an independent Appeals Committee. Year 6/7 transition involves family interviews. In-year applications (Years 8-11) are also accepted. The published admission numbers for 2025/26 are: Year 7: 174; Year 8: 174; Year 9: 174; Year 10: 174; Year 11: 174.
