"Together with God we achieve."
Our ethos is built on respect, truth, trust, and integrity, welcoming students of all faiths and none while fostering diversity and inclusion.
I am incredibly honoured to be the Principal of St Augustine Academy. Our academy is a small, inclusive, and nurturing school dedicated to providing an education that enables every student to thrive and succeed within our Christian community. Our motto is 'Together with God we achieve.' We strive to create the best opportunities for every member of our academy, with high standards of discipline and a curriculum that empowers students.
St Augustine Academy offers through the ARC a specialist resource provision for students on the Autistic Spectrum (ARC). Admissions are managed by the Local Authority; children must have a Statement of SEN or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) with autism named as its primary need. Students admitted in Year 7 follow the National Curriculum and attend Maths, English and Science in the mainstream; they are supported in these lessons by ARC staff. Students have a bespoke timetable which includes study lessons in the ARC to support completing home learning. The ASD Inclusion Officer assumes responsibility for the pastoral welfare of each student.
St Augustine Academy admits 150 pupils into Year 7. The Sponsor is committed to an Admissions Policy that provides education for all children. Admissions and oversubscription criteria are consistent with other maintained schools in Kent and are explained in the Kent County Council admissions booklet.
