Jamie Foster, Headteacher, describes St Martin’s School as a very special school where individual development is a personal journey. The ethos Be The Best You Can Be is built on Traditional Values, Learning For The Future and Outstanding Personal Achievement, with a focus on helping pupils succeed academically and personally and on building a positive, community-centered learning experience.
Clubs
SEND – A Whole School Approach with Essex Adaptive Teaching Strategies and the Essex Ordinarily Available Teaching Strategies. The school uses personalised One Plan Profiles, a SEND Hub, a counsellor, an in-house Mental Health Practitioner, and a School Nurse to support pupils. Interventions include mentoring, targeted small-group or classroom support, anxiety and worry toolkit, Zones of Regulation, and various other programmes.
