Admissions Criteria

Admission to RMGS is via the Medway Test (11+). The Medway Test comprises Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning, and an Extended Writing exercise. Oversubscription details are set out with a priority order: (i) Children in Public Care (adopted); (ii) Children designated as receiving Free School Meals on 31 October; (iii) Current Family Association (siblings) attending the school; (iv) Health and Special Access Reasons; (v) Children with a parent who is a member of staff (employed for three years or more, or recruited to fill a vacancy with a demonstrable skill shortage); (vii) Nearest of children’s homes. The SIF can be downloaded for Free School Meals applicants, and offers are managed through the Medway Council coordinated scheme.
