Admissions Criteria

Wilson’s is a selective state school for boys. Year 7 entry has an admissions number of 186. Entry requires passing the Selective Eligibility Test (SET) and a Second Stage Entrance Examination. Oversubscription criteria include Looked After or Previously Looked After, students eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), and top candidates in Sport and Music Aptitude tests; remaining places allocated by standardised entrance test scores with distance-based tie-breaker; waiting lists maintained; right of appeal.
