Admissions Criteria

Dane Court is a selective grammar school that requires applicants to pass the Kent Test or the school’s own selection test. It is typically oversubscribed with a waiting list; offers are made via Kent County Council. Priority on oversubscription is given to looked-after children, then to students with a disability for whom Dane Court is the most appropriate school, then to siblings, and finally to students nearest to the school. For Year 7 entry, applicants should apply through the Secondary Common Application Form by 31 October; eligibility for Free School Meals in the last 6 years requires a supplementary information form. Information on waiting lists and appeals is published by Kent County Council; in-year admissions are handled via the In-Year Admissions process.
