The Crypt School aims for all students to flourish in an inclusive, ambitious community with strong pastoral care and wellbeing support while valuing the development of character and leadership alongside academic achievement.
Sports
The Crypt School has a SEND department that provides support to pupils with SEND, including a SENDCO contact, SEN policy and SEN Local Offer. Main entry to The Crypt is via an entrance test (GL Assessment) for Year 7; registration opens in spring with a listed window and results are provided in mid-October. There are 11+ familiarisation materials available and supporting information for other year groups. For Sixth Form (Year 12), entry requires a minimum 48 points across best eight GCSEs, grade 5 or above in Maths and English, a minimum grade 6 in required subjects, a minimum of 3 A levels (with a 4th A level requiring 58 points if pursued), and year blocks for 2026 entry are published with option choices.
