Welcome to Redborne. An oversubscribed Upper School with over 1,500 students and a large Sixth Form; Ofsted judged the school ‘Good’ in July 2024; academy status since 2011; strong academic record, extensive extracurricular work, community links, and pastoral system; commitment to safeguarding.
Redborne uses a graduated SEND approach (waves 1–4) with a Learning Support department coordinating high‑quality teaching and targeted interventions. Staff are trained to support ASD, ADHD and dyslexia; extra help can include Teaching Assistants and collaboration with external agencies; EHCPs exist for higher‑needs (wave 4); Access Arrangements for exams are managed by the school with JCQ guidance; Parent and pupil communication is via dedicated SEND channels.
