Ms C Bessa, Principal, introduces Orion Coopers as a fully comprehensive secondary school for ages 11–18 and a member of the Orion Education Trust; emphasizes a vision where pupils belong, progress, and are supported to succeed, with high expectations and an inclusive, safe environment.
Clubs
SEND provision uses a graduated approach across four broad categories of need: Communication and interaction; Cognition and learning; Social, mental and emotional health; Sensory and/or physical. The SEN information includes assessments by the SENCO, planning and provision shared with staff and parents, involvement of relevant agencies, and regular reviews. Year 7 admissions are described with a banding test and an expression of interest form; there are Admissions Policy documents for 2025-26 and 2026-27, and a Trust Admissions Policy for 2027-28 (under consultation).
