Head Teacher's Message

Our Executive Principal describes a vision to be a beacon of excellence and to provide a 'World Class' education with high expectations. The school is among the top 20 largest in England, the largest in Staffordshire, serving over 2,450 students across three campuses (Dove for Years 7-8, Trent for Years 9-11, and Sixth Form Campus). It is a founding member of The de Ferrers Trust, holds accolades such as Apple Distinguished School and Ofsted Good (Oct 2023), and has provided every student with an iPad since Sept 2021. The community is linguistically diverse, with over 35 languages spoken at home.

The de Ferrers Academy follows Staffordshire County Council's co-ordinated admissions scheme. Applications are made online via the Common Application Form on the Staffordshire website. The Academy participates in in-year admissions. If applications exceed the published admission number, they will be considered against the attached over-subscription criteria.
