"A Family Achieving Excellence"
The King’s (The Cathedral) School is a Church of England school with a rich heritage within the Peterborough Cathedral Foundation. It is a Christian community united by the vision “Many members, but one body, as it is with Christ” (1 Corinthians 12:12). The school emphasizes daily worship led by the School Chaplain, collective worship, partnerships with Peterborough Cathedral, and a Christian ethos that underpins the community.
Welcome to The King’s School. Since 1541, thousands of students have joined the King’s School family and benefitted from an excellent education grounded in strong Christian values, with close links to the Cathedral and a culture of kindness. The Headteacher, John Harrison, highlights a vibrant school life including music, Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, trips to Rome and Athens, and a community where hundreds of sixth form pupils mentor younger students and participate in charity and service.
