Holyrood exists to promote social justice and social mobility; it is an 11–18 comprehensive academy that aims to support and challenge every student to achieve their best, with safeguarding and welfare as a top priority.
Provision includes Teaching Assistant support inside the classroom, extraction from lessons for targeted Speech and Language, literacy, numeracy, early reading and SEMH interventions, individual and group mental health support, TA support outside the classroom for vocabulary and concepts, a 'Time Out' space to support regulation of emotions, the ARC (Academic Recovery Centre) for timetabled study support sessions, the Outdoor Classroom for outdoor learning and Forest School interventions, and External Alternative Provision (South Somerset Partnership School, Reach, ARK at Egwood and Drift Farm Education, Magdalen Farm).
