Head Teacher's Message

Welcome to St George’s Academy from Principal Mrs A Money, who describes the academy as a large, split-site 11-18/19 institution with modern facilities on two campuses, a commitment to an inclusive ethos and high expectations, and notes the school achieved Ofsted rating of Good in June 2024.

Facilities

Sleaford campus on a 32-acre site with two sports halls, a fitness centre, two construction areas and a Motor Vehicles garage Interactive white boards in classrooms 2012 refurbishment adding a new hall and Library with modern Sixth Form learning spaces Six ICT suites including a full-size car simulator, 3D cinema, TV studio and Radio station Ruskington campus rebuilt and reopened in 2011 with a full-sized running track and outdoor gym Specialist music technology/performance room at Ruskington campus 2015 extension adding a large hall, drama studio, specialist design technology rooms and computing facilities Construction workshop facility at Ruskington campus to broaden curriculum

SEND Provision

The 16 to 19 Tuition Funding Statement describes two key programmes: GCSE Maths & English Tutoring (small group online sessions led by teachers based at the Academy, alongside private tutors) and Vocational Workshops (small group, face-to-face tutorials at the Academy focusing on coursework in vocational subjects). It states that supported students are those who had not achieved grade 5 or above in at least one of English or Maths by age 16, with priority to those who did not achieve grade 4 in English and/or Maths and who are currently on 16-19 study programmes.
