The Aylesbury Vale Academy is a Church of England Academy sponsored by the Diocese of Oxford with a strong sense of purpose and achievement based upon faith, respect, equality, aspiration, creativity and service.
Welcome to The Aylesbury Vale Academy. We aim to go beyond the expected to enhance life chances, with a non-selective, inclusive ethos centered on respect, aspiration and resilience. As a large all-through school, we offer a broad, ambitious, and rich curriculum and a wide range of opportunities beyond the classroom, while maintaining high expectations for academic excellence. We strive to close gaps between groups, empower students’ character, and inspire attendance above the national average.
The Community Suite is managed by the school and is available for hire, 7 days a week, through the Academy Lettings Manager on a regular or one-off basis to individuals, community groups and other organisations. The school hall is available for hire on evenings and weekends. Regular activities include Church on Berryfields Coffee Shop, Taekwondo, dance classes, private tuition, Beavers, church groups and family learning workshops. AVA sports facilities are available to hire to local groups through the Academy Lettings Manager. Regular activities include hockey, netball and football clubs.
The school may be able to receive additional money to help children from particular groups fulfil their potential and achieve well. This includes children whose families are unemployed or on low incomes (those earning up to about £16,000 per year), children whose parents are in the forces and those in care.
